Don Juan Tours is a family-owned company dedicated to the production of coffee and cocoa. On our farms, we showcase the process of these two essential products. The coffee we produce is grown in the Monteverde region, which is one of the top 8 coffee-producing areas in Costa Rica. We employ meticulous processes to offer you an exquisite gourmet coffee. Our cocoa plantation is located in La Fortuna de San Carlos, where the elevation, climate, and careful procedures serve as perfect allies to produce the highest quality cocoa.

We offer a unique two-in-one tour! At Don Juan Tours Arenal, we start with the coffee tour, during which you’ll learn about its fascinating history in the world and our country, as well as its significance in Costa Rica’s development. Throughout the tour, you’ll witness all the stages coffee goes through, from the seed to the delightful final product – a cup of coffee.

The second part of the tour is the sweetest. In the chocolate tour, you’ll experience a journey of aromas and history, actively participating in the chocolate-making process. This includes tasting and engaging in the different stages of production, from the cocoa seed to the beverage, allowing you to savor and enjoy this wonderful fruit.

One of the main features of Don Juan Tours Arenal is our infrastructure. As the Arenal region is known for its rapidly changing weather, ranging from very sunny and humid to heavy rains and occasional thunderstorms, we ensure that 100% of our tour is held under sheltered paths. You won’t have to worry about the sun or rain during the entire experience. Our paths are all paved, making the park accessible to families with wheelchair users and strollers, as there won’t be any issues walking around the property.
